Rebekah Phillips is a freelance adviser specialising in public communication of climate change and behaviour change policy. Until December 2011 she was senior policy adviser at Green Alliance in charge of our Green Living theme.
Rebekah has written extensively on green living issues. She was the co-author, with Sylvia Rowley, of Green Alliance's influential Bringing it home report, published in March 2011 and she and Sylvia co-founded Green Alliance's blog.
Rebekah previously worked on climate and energy at Green Alliance. Her research in 2008-09 into the government's transport decision making led, in spring 2011, to a reform of government appraisal of transport proposals to ensure the benefits of low carbon are fully recognised.
Prior to joining Green Alliance Rebekah was the environment and transport policy analyst for BBC News Analysis and Research. Rebekah has also worked for Elsevier Science in Amsterdam, Landmine Action in Liberia and for Womankind Worldwide.
