How Green are our parties? - The Green Standard report
The organisations involved in 'The Green Standard: Tests for environmental leadership' initiative have come together to highlight the principal challenges that lie ahead and to shape the battle for environmental leadership between the political parties. They have set six tests for environmental leadership, which have been used to assess the parties' actions and commitments in the run up to the next general election.
This report provides the first assessment of the three main political parties' green credentials. It concludes that none of the parties have yet implemented policy commitments and action on the scale requried to meet the range and urgency of the environmental threats we face and sets out the areas in which we would like to see improvement.
